TabTrade - Is It Worth Opening an Account

The Broker — The Short Version

Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection tells you something. It suggests the person running this knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still better than a random name you cannot trace.

TabTrade came out of the gate with execution through Equinix servers. Same infrastructure prime brokers run on. Most new brokers leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that is a few months old, the breadth is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Having both is useful. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. cBot support. A lot of traders prefer it once they try it.

FIX API is there for bots but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is reportedly coming. That would make the platform set once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. 1.0 pip spreads. No commission. Easy to track. $0 to start. Suits people who want simple pricing.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your all-in cost can be below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

This is the area where this broker actually does something different. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run a much wider range.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The difference between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is catching the move or missing it. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get makes sense. Not many platforms with no minimum deposit run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the detail that matters. The broker is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. Benjamin Boulter spent years at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, fast fills. Whether that is worth it is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade has a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical deposit match. You deposit, the broker credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: minimum lots traded before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Read the conditions before funding.
